After the great success of ‘Blackout’ and tours across Europe, Asia and America, the Scorpions entered the studio in the spring of 1983 to begin recording ‘Love At First Sting’. The goal from the beginning was to surpass the success of ‘Blackout’. They succeeded, as ‘Love At First Sting’ became the most successful album of the band’s long career and spawned classics like ‘Still Loving You’, ‘Rock You Like A Hurricane’ and ‘Big City Nights”, which are still today the highlights of each Scorpions Concert.
With “Still Loving You”, they cemented their reputation as soul rock ballad masters and sold over two million singles in France alone. “Rock You Like A Hurricane” is with “The Zoo” the most played live song by the Scorpions and offers monster riffs, combined with complex guitar playing and the incomparable voice of Klaus Meine. The iconic cover photo of the couple embracing and the black and white group photo published in the United States were taken by iconic photographer Helmut Newton. The album entered the top 10 in many countries and worked its way up to number 6 on the Billboard charts in the United States. 2015 remasters
