Originally only available as an artist store exclusive in 2020, The Rarities is a 32-track compilation of fan favorites, rare songs and unreleased gems, all hand-picked by Mariah Carey herself. The career-spanning collection includes previously unreleased recordings from 1990 through 2020, along with hidden musical jewels from Carey’s personal archives. Also included in this vinyl 4LP set is the full length audio from Live at the Tokyo Dome, Mariah’s first concert performance in Japan in support of her 1996 Daydream World Tour. “Basically I found stuff in my vault that I either started to work on like a long time ago and never released or that I kinda wanted to finish mixing or do whatever,” Carey shared. “But they’re songs that have previously not been released so it’s exciting and it’s a monumental occasion for my career.”
