Keane – Perfect Symmetry (180g Vinyl LP)
$42.00
As indie music enjoyed its resurgence in the mid 2000s, UK south coast three-piece Keane offered a thoughtful counterpoint to guitar squall. Their runaway 9x platinum 2004 debut, Hopes And Fears, featured well-written songs, anchored by delicate piano-based melodies. For its 2006 follow-up Under the Iron Sea Keane fashioned a far darker affair with similar results, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 and topping the UK charts. The group chose to pursue new ground on 2008’s Jon Brion-produced Perfect Symmetry, however, offering up a slightly retooled sound – including the presence of electric guitar – as heard on the assured Bowie-influenced single “Spiralling.” 180g vinyl reissue.
