Astrud Gilberto is best known for her iconic 1963 debut recording, “”The Girl From Ipanema””, performed alongside João Gilberto (her husband at the time) and Stan Getz. In 1977, this classic was reimagined by the “”Godfather of Disco”” Vince Montana, blending Brazil’s bossa nova rhythms with the vibrant energy of ‘70s disco.

Reissued exclusively for Record Store Day 2025 on limited edition Sky Blue vinyl with all new liner notes.
