Al Stewart – Year of the Cat (180g Vinyl LP)

$38.00

Recorded in the early months of 1976 at Abbey Road Studios, Year Of The Cat was the seventh album by Glasgow-born, Dorset-raised singer/songwriter Al Stewart and the second in collaboration with Alan Parsons. A record of immense musical inventiveness and creativity, it was a triumph both in terms of Stewart’s songwriting and the stunning and sophisticated production of Parsons. Featuring such classic songs as “On the Border,” “Lord Grenville,” “Midas Shadow,” “If It Doesn’t Come Naturally, Leave It,” “One Stage Before” and the classic title track, Year Of The Cat was a major commercial and critical success reaching the Billboard Top Five and eventually earning platinum certification. The signature single “Year of the Cat” was a Top Ten hit in the States and a Top 40 hit in the UK. Hipgnosis (Pink Floyd) designed the rare cover art, truly making this one of the more recognizable releases of its era.
