Les Misérables, the legendary musical comedy by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, based on Victor Hugo’s masterpiece, will be presented in a new French-language production at the Théâtre du Châtelet in the fall of 2024.

Created in Paris in 1980, Les Misérables has become the biggest worldwide success in the history of musical theatre with 130 million spectators who have seen it in 53 countries and 27 languages, running continuously in London since 1985.

For its grand return to France, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg revisited the texts and orchestrations, to present an “ultimate” version to the public.
