Joss Stone – The Soul Sessions (Vinyl LP)
$48.00
The Soul Sessions is the 2003 Betty Wright/Steve Greenberg-produced debut album by English soul and R&B sensation Joss Stone originally issued when she was just sixteen years old. The sleeper hit consists of far beyond her years cover versions of soul songs from the ’60s and ’70s including charming takes on Carla Thomas, Aretha Franklin and The Isley Brothers, in addition to a version of The White Stripes’ 2001 song “Fell in Love with a Girl” (reworked here as “Fell in Love With a Boy”). In 2004, The Soul Sessions was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.
